Cor Jesu College (CJC) Vocational Technology Institute was declared by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-XI as the regional winner of the 2015 Kabalikat Award. The award was given by Sec. Emmanuel Joel J. Villanueva, the TESDA Director General and Hon. Rosalinda D. Baldoz, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary during the 2015 Idols ng TESDA at Kabalikat Awards Araw ng Parangal held at the TESDA Auditorium, TESDA Complex in Taguig City, August 25, 2015. From 2012-2014, CJC trained 560 and assessed 370 graduates in Automotive Servicing NCII, Driving NCII, Housekeeping NCII, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NCII, Bookkeeping NCIII, Computer Hardware Servicing NCII, Bartending NCII, Caregiving NCII, Food and Beverage Services NCII, Health Care Servicing NCII and Front Office Servicing NCII.
The institution’s investment to technical education and skills development (TESD) in the past three (3) years amounted to around Php 290,000 in free training and assessment. It also spent some Php 7M for promotion and advocacy activities including the maintenance of a comprehensive website of its programs and services.
The Kabalikat Award is one of TESDA’s reward mechanisms in giving due recognition and honor to its outstanding partners in the promotion and enhancement of technical education and skills development (TESD).
This award was made possible through the efforts of VocTech Program Head – Engr. Wayne Manabat, the ever supportive School President – Br. Ellakim P. Sosmeña, SC, VP for Finance and Administration – Br. Ernesto Quidet, Jr., SC, Dean of College – Dr. Alex Niez, Engineering and Technology Division Chairperson – Engr. Jonas Placer, support services (Administrative and General Services Office, Finance Office, Guidance Office, Office of the Registrar, Office of Human Resource, and Office of the Institutional Affairs), and Voctech Faculty, Staff, and Student Assistants.
