On September 29, 2023, the lively Cor Jesu College campus was filled with excitement and camaraderie as students from various colleges joined together to commemorate the institution’s Foundation Day. Organized by the Association of College Clubs and Organization Officers, with support from the College Student Government technical team, the day was a joyous affair brimming with spirited cheers and thrilling games.
Cor Jesu College, a prestigious educational institution in Davao del Sur, celebrates its Foundation Day annually as a tribute to its rich history and unwavering commitment to academic excellence. The highlight of the day was the intercollegiate games and competitions, which brought students from different courses and backgrounds together. These games, including ‘Ready-Set-Chirp,’ ‘Hanging Basket,’ ‘Shoot That Nail,’ ‘Animal Party,’ and exhilarating relay races, showcased the competitive spirit and sportsmanship of the students. The College of Engineering (CoE) emerged as the Overall Champion, with the College of Education, Arts and Sciences (CEDAS) securing the 1st Runner-up position, the College of Computing and Information Science (CCIS) as the 2nd Runner-up, the College of Accountancy, Business, and Entrepreneurship (CABE) as the 3rd Runner-up, the College of Health Sciences (CHS) as the 4th Runner-up, and the College of Special Programs (CSP) as the 5th Runner-up.
The Foundation Day celebration also provided an opportunity for students to engage in community service activities, emphasizing the college’s commitment to social responsibility. This extended the celebration’s impact beyond the campus, showcasing the students’ passion and pride in being part of Cor Jesu College.
