Cor Jesu College has made history with its first championship win at the PSITS Region 11: Interschool Short Film Festival 2024, held on Sunday, December 8. This remarkable achievement highlights the creativity and dedication of the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) department, cementing its place among the top contenders in the region.
The school’s entry triumphed in multiple categories, clinching the coveted title of PSITS Region 11 Champion Best Short Film 🏆. The team also earned accolades for Best Director, awarded to Reinhard Democrito, and the People’s Choice Award (Best Trailer). Other notable wins included Best Editing, secured by Charlie De Lumen, Best Musical Scoring, Best Original Soundtrack (OST) created by Alvin Kert Maravillas, Reinhard Democrito, Ver Capacio, and Ranie Mosquiza, and Best Trailer.
In addition to these major wins, Cor Jesu College’s entry was nominated in several prestigious categories, including Best Visual Effect, Best Makeup and Styling, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Original Story, Best Sound Engineering, Best Cameo Role, Best Love Team, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Actor.
