The group organizes conferences on research from different countries all over the world twice to thrice a year.
“The main purpose of participating in this international forum is for the public to know the present situation of our Indigenous People and to let other people hear their deepest cry”, said Dr. Bayod during an interview. He discussed that he was inspired to pursue his paper presentation because he was guided by this purpose.
“It is affirming in my part to present to the world the good output of this research” he further discussed. He said that he was motivated to present his research after the organization has accepted his paper. It was also the best time to show to the world that Cor Jesu College has good researches, thus, these researches must be disseminated not just in the Philippines but throughout the world, he added.
Dr. Bayod also shared his insights and experiences in the said event. He learned that accepting opportunities of presenting researches especially outside the country is one of the best avenues to collaborate with other researchers. It is a chance to know additional tools in doing researches. He said that participating in research forums would also affirm that you are doing the right thing, thus, researches should not remain on shelves but it must be presented, he further emphasized.
Moreover, he stressed out that doing research is not difficult and can be fun. He clarified that researchers should not be very rigid. Hence, they must create a facilitative environment, in which aspiring researchers learn not to be afraid but instead love doing research.
Dr. Bayod is looking forward to undertake new researches. The work experience and family relations of OFW’s in Hong Kong are another researchable area, he added. Hence, he is planning to attend the next International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR 2015) on April 2015 at Japan.
