Every 19th day after the Pentecost, on a Friday, the Roman Catholic community celebrates the Feast of the Sacred Heart.
This year, Cor Jesu College joins the Universal Church in celebrating the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 27, 2014. Attended by the whole CJC contingent, the Solemnity started with the observance of the Stations of the Heart on the eve of the feast, and a liturgical mass on feast day.
The celebration also marked the launching of the theme Christ’s love enliven as the formative focus of this school year 2014-2015. Reverend Fr. Ronald Bong Lunas, DCD shared some profound reflections on the theme in his homily.
” To enliven Christ’s love, making our life vigorous, active, invigorated, bright, cheerful and interesting takes its expression in community living” – Miguel Espinosa, Director of Sacred Heart Formation and Mission.
