“Malalag’s Visionary Projects: Civil Engineering Students Showcase Feasibility Studies for Eco-Sport Tourist Park and Flood Control with River Esplanade”

The 4th-year Civil Engineering students successfully conducted a presentation of their feasibility study for their proposed projects, namely, the Malalag Eco-Sport Tourist Park and Malalag Flood Control with River Esplanade on July 12, 2023, at Malalag Municipal Hall. The event was attended by the Dean of CoE, Engr. Jonas Placer, their Program Head, Engr. Amie Lou Cisneros, and PICE Moderator, Engr. Kristine May Maturan.

The Municipality of Malalag, under the leadership of the Honorable Mayor, Peter Paul T. Valentin, welcomed the proponents to assist in realizing and recognizing their projects. The initiative aimed to boost tourism in Malalag and underscore the importance of disaster-resiliency projects as part of sustainability goals in the locality.
A short viewing of miniatures preceded the presentation, during which the active Mayor, officials, and staff from various offices observed the details of the projects, emphasizing their designs and structures.

The proponents and faculty members would like to express their profound gratitude and deep appreciation to the incumbent mayor and the LGU Malalag for their contributions and unrelenting support. Truly, the Municipality’s dedication to sustainability and quality of life was not left unnoticed. Indeed, this event serves as a testament to the Mayor’s commitment and hard work to provide authentic public service to the Malalageños.
