Due to the risks brought by the Covid-19 pandemic which imposed high limitations all over the globe, the school provided its students and other stakeholders Online Medical Consultation to continuously give medical attention and to ensure the safety and welfare of the stakeholders.
“Doing an online checkup is very important during these times because of the threat of the Covid pandemic. This is especially crucial if you feel unwell. It is best to address medical problems early on than wait for them to get worse,” said Dr. Emil Josef B. Almazan, the school physician.
Online consultation, which is now acceptable and found safe and convenient to use, is done to virtually examine and assess the state of health of the students and to give advice or prescribed medications in their health-related issues through mainstream media.
“A patient can schedule an online consult with his/her physician and based on the patient’s complaints, the doctor might, right there and then, prescribe medications, or request for laboratory examinations or decide if the patient needs to be hospitalized. If necessary, the doctor could also schedule the patient for a face to face consultation for further medical evaluation,” Almazan added.
Moreover, even though the consultation is done virtually, the school still guarantees the privacy and confidentiality of all the information tackled throughout the session.
Students can schedule their consultation by messaging to the official Facebook page of CJC clinic- CJC-School Clinic or by texting 0912-701-2038. The clinic is open Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
