Cor Jesu College, Inc. reached another significant milestone as it concluded this year’s Grand Community Day in celebration of its 64th Founding Anniversary and the 202nd Founding Anniversary of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. The event, themed “CJC at 64: Humbled and Blessed to Serve,” took place on September 29, 2023, in Brgy. Dulangan, Digos City.
Various colleges, departments, and offices at Cor Jesu College organized diverse activities for their designated participants throughout the day. The Criminology Students from the College of Special Programs (CSP) conducted an Anti-Bullying and Drug Addiction Program, aiming to raise awareness, knowledge, values, and skills, starting from an early age. The program welcomed over 50 students, ranging from grade 5 to grade 6, from Dulangan Elementary School.
During the program, Criminology Students discussed important topics and provided valuable reminders. They emphasized the importance of knowing whom to approach when faced with bullying and understanding the implications of drug use. The smiles and engagement of the young learners indicated their enjoyment and learning. The program went beyond being just a talk; it served as a platform for shaping the hearts and minds of today’s learners for a brighter tomorrow.
The celebration of Cor Jesu College and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart’s Founding Anniversary not only commemorated historical milestones and achievements but also provided various entities and organizations with the opportunity to organize meaningful programs. It stood as a testament to the college’s commitment to compassion, one of its core values, and its unwavering dedication to its three pillars: Community, Apostleship, and Excellence. Ametur Cor Jesu! Ametur Cor Mariae!
